The Anthology Heritage Foundation
Anthology is a physical-to-digital memorial and heritage archive built for South African families who want to preserve the life stories, clan lineages, and spoken wisdom of their elders in perpetuity.
The platform weaves together AI-assisted biographical writing, professional oral history videography, QR-linked bronze memorial plaques, and a sovereign ZAR endowment trust model so that every family chronicle endures for generations without advertising, paywalls, or the risk of a corporate shutdown. Families can build multimedia memorials with chapters, timelines, galleries, and a curated soundtrack, then share them through signed QR codes engraved on headstones or printed in funeral service booklets.
Anthology is designed for families honouring a departed elder, community custodians safeguarding clan praise poetry and genealogical records, and heritage organisations seeking a POPIA-compliant home for oral histories that might otherwise be lost. Trustees can curate chapters, control visibility, moderate tributes, and invite co-trustees to govern sensitive records together through multi-party verification.
Anthology is built and maintained by an independent Non-Profit Heritage Foundation registered in South Africa, with curatorial partners in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and the Eastern Cape. Our mission is rooted in the philosophy of Ubuntu — Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu, a person is a person through other persons. We believe that remembering those who built the schools, stitched the quilts, composed the marabi melodies, and walked the protest marches is essential to national and familial healing. All data is governed under strict South African POPIA compliance with zero advertising, zero behavioural profiling, and multi-century data sovereignty.
